project 12 - february 2011 photos :)

finally, i can manage to finish this, after tough times of picking which photos should be included :)

8 is enough!

i came across this "8 is enough" way of scrapbooking in ella publishing blog, it was quite sometime, and finally i managed to do this :) it is on how we actually can scrapbook at least 4 LOs with using 8 supplies :) (not including the cardstock, scissors, glue and other basic ones)
i always busy picking this and that, here and there, when i scrapbook and will leave my room looks like there is a "crashed aeroplane" in it :) hehe.. actually, this is a term in bahasa indonesia when something is so messy: "kapal pecah!" (aka. direct translated as crashed aeroplane)
it's true, the toughest part is the selection of those 8 supplies.

but on the other side, the limitation of supplies really can make me think out of the box, and do crative ways of using these supplies.

when choosing the supplies, i tried to pick those with same range of colors (well, in my opinion, all bright colors are in the same range).
i also tried to pick ones with variety of "patterns", 2 papers with strips designs (OA & LYB) and 1 elements from CC. lucky, i still have this set of alpha sticker from K&Co, as they have 2 colors. to add accents for my LOs, I chose sunflower glimmer mist.

here is the complete list of supplies I used (from left to rigt as shown in the picture):
- patterned paper: Studio Calico
- patterned paper: Little Yellow Bicycle
- patterned paper: October Afternoon
- patterned paper: Pink Paislee
- patterned paper: CosmoCricket
- sticker: SassafrasLas
- letter sticker: K&Company
- glimmer mist: TA - Sunflower

and finally i made these 4 LOs :)
i love this pink paislee pp so much, the laces are so beautiful.. i used element from cosmo cricket pp as my title and my journaling base.

i used the banner sticker from SFL in this LO, as flags and as a separation line. the LYB pp is just so nice, love the colors so much, and as i want to keep the design, i used a big "block" of this pp for more 50% of this LO's area.

overall, I love this "happy times LO" most, the one with most combination of supplies here & there.

i made 2 flowers from SFL sticker as embellishments. and spray a little bit here & there.

finally, I have to say that I must limit my supplies of scrapbooking as often as possible, and start to use my hoarded stashes :)

thank you for dropping by. i really appreciate it! :) i really do :)
hopefully you can be inspired in some ways..

God bless you!

a simple jillibean LO :)

i never imagined that i can make an LO this fast! :) less than 1 hour, when usually it will take me daysss to finish... =p

when i browsed through my stash, i felt so lucky and so surprised in the same time. how could i only hoarding these beautiful papers and stickers without doing anything to them.. well, i also realised that i still have lots of other hoarded beautiful stashes. >>> homeworkkk :) a pleasant homework.. i wish i could have more time to do thisss.. hahahaha.. despite of my class & my office stuffs.. hehe..

these 2 pics were taken on my last year's bali trip. i plan to make a mini book of that trip, and really wish that this can be finished before my next trip to bali this coming may!! :) oooo, i can't wait to go there... need to exercise more..

thanks for dropping by! i wish i can inspire u in some ways, even if it's just a minor one ;)

God bless you!

a project to share

finally i have something finished to be shared :)

my first altered project ;) i will share more soon.. :)
okay, here are the "more" to share soon...
i managed to take pics when making this "welcome sign hanger"..

1. making of the base
i cut a styrofoam board into a bucket shape, and also cut 2 pieces of cardboard as the "cover". i attached the cardboard (big shape) to styrofoam and then covered them with yellow cardstock. next is the smaller part, a small part of this will cover the bigger cardboard.

2. paint the letters and other elements.
these are from jillibean! aren't they just perfect! as i only have 1 color of making memories paint, i used my "pastels" to color them (except for the yellow ones).

3. paint them with glimmer mist.
still didn't feel right with the colors, i spray them all with glimmer mist of tattered angels. i have some colors of these and would like to buy some more ;)

4. making of the flower.
i used crepe paper, some bought from daiso (SGD 2 for 3 colors). i attached the crepe paper on the corrugated flower as the top and another circle cut from stashes as the base.

here are some close ups:

thanks so much for dropping by :)
God bless you!

a layout & my first double page LO

hi all
finally i click the "new post" button, after a long hibernation.. hehe..

i made a LO based on this sketch from pencil lines:
Sketch22

i should say that i love "bracket shape" lately, and i'm glad that finally i can make some fabric flowers ;) and used them on my LO.

1 other new thing i did on this LO, i did masking & used my new blending tool ;) love the looks of the background, can fill the empty space but yet still not too or too noisy..

supplies:
cardstock: amercian craft
patterned paper: MME, 7gypsies, AC
alphas: thickers & basic grey
brads: AC, HP accessories
fabric: bagus2 wrapping store
journaling tag: elle's studio
mask: prima, blending tool: tim holtz, ink: versa magic
crepe: daiso

i have another one to share. first double page LO and also first non 12x12 LO ever.. it is a 8.5x11 LO. i made this for project 12 in "scrapbook & cards today". this is so fun! i kept browse through Davinie's blog to look for inspiration, as i never made anything other than 12x12.

here is the original sketch:

i modified a bit, as my base is not squares. glad, as i can add some more photos.. though the photo size are so small..

supplies:
patterned paper: MME, scenic route, 7 gypsies, ki memories
card stock: AC
