A gift to my boss

Hi all

As I came across this Moxie Fab World's Handmade Home Decor Week Challenge, I remember of one project I made earlier :) You also can join the fun by making a project :) Or, you also can win by posting some comments :)

I made this frame for my boss when she had to go through a surgery. I'm so happy as she put this on her cabinet in the office, hopefully can be a good reminder for her at all times :)

and see, she keeps the gift tag ;)

A chevron card to share

Hi all
Happy Easter! :)
I made a chevron card for Moxie Fab World's Chevron Challenge.

I am not really a card maker, I must think hard before I finally came up with this:

Not so bad I hope ;)

I made the chevron pattern using 5 pieces of 6x6 patterned paper pad, cut them into 0.5 inch width each, then cut the 6 inch long strip into 3 (2 inch each). Arrange them diagonally and then cut them. A step by step guidance can be found below, hopefully this can help you to make a chevron pattern for yourself :)

Thank you for dropping by & hopefully you like what you see here :)

Take care & God bless :)

A Spring Home Decoration aka Notice Board

Hi
This is actually not a new project I made, but I wish to re-post this for this challenge of Moxie Fab World:Spring Home Decor Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. You may join this challenge with me ;)

I've found this thing in a $2 store:

and was thinking of making a notice board out of this! voila..

I tied 2 lines of baker's twine across to hang pictures and notes :) I cut some flower pictures from patterned paper and attached it to some clothespins. I made some flower also from patterned paper for some accents. And yes, I hang a bunting across the top side and attached some thickers: "ARISE", as a self reminder.

Hope you like it and feel inspired in some ways :)

On my etsy shop, I've just listed some new items :) yeay!

Another layout & shop opening!

I wanna share another layout I made lately. This one I made using the left overs paper strips.

A picture from our wedding, with our brothers & sisters. 1 of the brothers is my brother and 1 of the sisters is my sister in law! Just nice, we want them to know our friends better and it work just great!

Some details of the layout:

Here are some pictures taken from the making of the layout:

I simply cut the strips into small parallelogram shapes, by cutting it diagonally. Spray some Studio Calico's white Mister Huey's and put some embellishments here & there.

And yes, I finally open my etsy shop: "Knick Knack Shop"!
Some washi tapes, paper straws, party favor bags and a few wedding corsages.

Please spend a little time to browse my humble shop, hopefully you could find what you need there.

Thank you for dropping by!

Take care & God bless you!

13 March 2013

hello my blog :)

I finally open my blog & post something into it, after 1.5 years neglecting it. poor blog..
I'm currently preparing for something new! (no! that's not what I've been doing for the last 1.5 years, of course) ;)

Before that, I'm gonna share 1 of 2 layouts I made lately. Yeah.. I finally made a layout. :)

This lay out I made mainly using my new "Mama Elephant" stamp set. Who could resist this whole cuteness?? Not me! I challenged myself to use stamping only on my layout. I used colorful ink for stamping. To make it more versatile, I used tracing paper / vellum for frames & journal base.

more details:

Those pictures were taken on my wedding last Oct 2012 :) a sweet surprise from our Church friends. Who would think that those 2 sweet singers is actually an opening for a Gangnam Style flash mob? And they finally dragged me & my hubby to join the crowd?? Really, until now, I would always remember that night as I heard that song!

I did so many DIY decoration etc, you may see a little bit of the backdrop in my layout. I will try to share more on my DIY weddings, in a hope to inspire anyone who is expecting to do some DIY for her wedding.

This is what I've been preparing lately.. my etsy shop :)

I'm listing up some stuffs (save as draft) and arranging the others.. I hope I could open it up this weekend!
Please stop by for a little browsing :) and a little shopping :)
